Park Watch Scheme

About the scheme

Reporting incidents

Parks are for the community, their friends and families to visit and enjoy the facilities.

We welcome the following activities:

Walking, jogging, informal games and kick abouts (in appropriate places), use of the formal recreation facilities such as tennis, visiting the play area, watching wildlife, photography, exercising the dog and of course simply sitting and watching the world go by and enjoying the scenery.

We DO NOT welcome the following activities:

If you witness any of these unwelcome activities, you should report them.

The telephone number for the police where immediate action is required is 0845 11350000, and in the case of a serious incident (ie assault, possession of a dangerous weapon etc) then the emergency 999 number should be used. All incidents should be recorded on an incident report sheet, including those where immediate action is not appropriate/too late etc.

An example of the Incident Report Sheet is shown below. You can click on this to access a pdf version of the sheet which can be printed (left click to open in the usual way with Acrobat Reader and then use the Acrobat printing facilities, or right click to allow a copy to be saved on your computer, which you can then open and print with Acrobat later).
