Minolta is not a name which we usually associate with half frame
cameras, but in 1963 – the heyday of half frame – they introduced
two models, the Repo and Repo S. They were aimed firmly at the middle
ground in the half frame market, and had no particularly unusual
features, though they seem to have been competent performers. The
Repos S is generally described as a de-luxe version of the Repo, the
only obvious differences in the specification being the lens and
shutter. However, as the pictures show, there certainly seem to
have been differences in the top plate as well as in the technical
details. The Repo is shown on teh right, and the Repo S below.
The Repo was apparently known as the Reporter in the USA.
