The Olympus Pen was the camera which started the boom in half frame cameras in the 1960's. Early models were produced by a sub-contractor before Olypus took over production themselves. The earliest models, both those produced by the contractor and by Olympus, differ from the later, more common, production models in having only a single lug for attaching a strap.
For an authoratative guide to whole range of Olympus Pen viewfinder (non-SLR) cameras, see John Foster's book "Olympus Viewfinder Pen Cameras", Biofos Publications, April 2000 (162 pages). The book is available from Biofos Publications, PO Box 92, Richmond, DL11 6YX.
